Paul Backalenick has worked a variety of jobs including: psychiatric counselor in a methadone clinic, information technology strategy consultant, Director of Admissions for a psychiatric hospital, founder of a web development and Internet marketing agency and Wall Street day trader, among others.
He graduated from Brown University with a concentration in Psychology and later obtained an MBA from Boston College. He is a supporter of animal rights, ecology and conservation causes. He enjoys playing piano, poker and golf, and traveling as much as possible. He grew up in Westport, Connecticut and now lives in New York City with his wife, artist Karen Loew. Development is his first novel.
